If there's a no-deal Brexit, after 31 October 2019 you’ll still be able to drive in countries in the EU, but you’ll need a Green Card to do so.
A Green Card is an international certificate of insurance which gives drivers the minimum level of insurance needed in the country they are visiting.

You don’t currently need a Green Card if you’re travelling and returning before 31 October 2019 and driving in:
If you’re driving in the above countries before 31 October 2019 but returning after this date, you’ll need a Green Card to cover you in case there’s a no-deal Brexit. Apply for one via our online form.
We'll then provide 90 days of European cover as shown on your Certificate of Motor Insurance.

We can give you a Green Card if there's a no-deal Brexit and you'll be driving your vehicle after 31 October 2019 in the following:
Green Cards are free for Elephant Car Insurance customers.
All Elephant Car Insurance customers with a full driving licence can apply for a Green Card from us.
All named drivers on the policy with a full driving licence will be covered in Europe.
Green Cards are required by the local authorities in each country to prove you have valid insurance or you may not be covered in the event of an accident. You could be stopped from entering at the border or your vehicle could be seized.
Please request your Green Card at least 14 days before you travel.
Once we've received your request, we'll send the Green Card to your postal address in 3-5 business days.
You'll need to contact us so we can tell you if you need a separate Green Card.
