Does your car number plate end with the letters NCZ? If so, new data released today suggests you're in a group of registrations most likely to cause an accident.
Car insurance specialist, elephant.co.uk looked at accident data from the last 10 years to see which of the 13,824 last three digit registration combinations had the most fault claims over that period. Although the three letter sequence is completely random, cars with number plates ending NCZ were almost two and a half times more likely than average to be involved in a fault accident. Car number plates ending in DKY and AWZ were second and third in the list.
The top five three digit combinations for fault claims were:

elephant.co.uk managing director, Brian Martin, commented, 'We ran these statistics as a bit of fun to see if there was any pattern and were really surprised to see that cars with the number plate ending NCZ were so much more risky than average.
'However, I'm sure this is just a coincidence and we've got no plans to charge more for drivers of car registrations ending NCZ as a result of this!'
When it comes to who's most likely to be involved in an accident which isn't their fault, RMZ is the worst combination at 2.25 times more likely than average to be involved in a non-fault accident.
