Most people enjoy a comfy seat, particularly if they're out for a few drinks, but a 62-year-old US man took things a little further - heading out in his own motorised armchair.
The wheels came off the plan when, after drinking eight or nine beers, Minnesotan Dennis LeRoy Anderson tried to drive the custom La-Z-Boy home, and ended up colliding with a parked car.
While the lawnmower-powered perch's low top speed - and plush upholstery - may have helped Anderson escape with only minor injuries, he was subsequently found to be more than three times over the drink-drive limit.
After pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated in the August 2008 incident, Anderson faces a suspended jail sentence - and the loss of his relaxing ride.
Minnesota police are free to auction vehicles impounded in drink-drive incidents, and local chief Walter Wobig said that the chair would appear on eBay this week.
And photos on the Jalopnik blog reveal a chair-iot of fire: the rocket recliner comes equipped with a fake nitrous oxide tank, and even a "hell yeah it's fast" sticker.
