A British man is gearing up to become the first blind driver to break 200mph in a solo car run.
Mike Newman from Cheshire - who has been blind for most of his life - previously held the blind land speed record, but had it snatched away by a Lamborghini-driving Belgian last year.
Now the Sale man is back practicing for a new attempt in the Bolton-designed, Manchester-made Keating TKR Supercar, which develops a claimed 2000bhp from its massive 7-litre engine.
Mike started off by smashing the world blind land speed record on a motorcycle in 2000, hitting 89mph on BBC's Record Breakers.
But he says his dream has always been to break the monumental 200mph limit.
Since his initial triumph, Mike managed an impressive 144mph in a Jaguar before setting a record of 178.5mph in the BMW M5 sports saloon.
But even the BMW is barely a quarter as powerful as the Keating, which is billed as the most powerful production car in the world.
And though it hasn't matched the Bugatti Veyron's fastest recorded speed of 253mph, the Keating has twice its raw engine power and has hit 230mph in testing - without leaving third gear.
The Keating is set to prove quite a ride for Mike, who is also hoping to raise half a million pounds for charity.
"We are taking a significant step up the ladder and this is no mean feat," he said.
