He retired as the greatest Formula One driver of all time, but Michael Schumacher has also been moonlighting as Top Gear's Stig - if you believe the show's latest stunt.
The BBC motoring programme yesterday outed Schumi as the real person behind the mask of its anonymous ace "tame racing driver".
Presenter Jeremy Clarkson had previously baited fans by promising that the Stig would finally show his face during yesterday's episode, the first of the show's 13th series.
And as the studio audience bayed for the much-mythologised character to reveal himself, Schumacher pulled off the iconic white helmet and winked at Clarkson.
During an interview on the Top Gear couches, Clarkson then gave Schumacher a grilling on some of the 'facts' which are used to introduce The Stig in each episode - such as his supposed illegal status in 17 US states.
However, fans may take more convincing that the seven-times F1 world champion is the 'real' Stig.
In January a BBC source told the Telegraph newspaper that the corporation was sitting on the "best-kept secret in motor racing" and would forever keep it that way.
It is thought that a number of actors and professional drivers take on the role at various times.
A Top Gear source told the Daily Mail to keep an eye out for the ever-changing stature of the character.
"If you look at the height of Stig in different pictures, that tells its own story," they added.
