A man in a stolen JCB has been caught drink-driving in Scotland, BBC news reports.
The 37-year-old man was reportedly stopped in West Lothian and charged with refusing a breath test and driving whilst under a lifetime ban.
Some 164 motorists in Scotland were caught driving under the influence in the first week of the Scottish festive clampdown - down 35 on this time last year.
"As the results show, fewer drivers than last year are putting themselves, their passengers and other members of the public at risk," said Jim Green from the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS).
"But we are still concerned that over one hundred and fifty motorists chose to ignore warnings and break the law."
One in 10 drivers charged with either drink-driving or refusing a breath test were 'morning after' arrests.
Among those still over the limit the morning after were a teacher on her way to work and a 60-year-old man who was nearly four times over the limit.
