Trunkie, the mascot of Cardiff-based insurance specialists elephant.co.uk, paid a surprise visit to children at Ty Hafan, the Childrens’ Hospice in Wales.
Trunkie was at Ty Hafan with the Managing Director of elephant.co.uk, Ceri Assiratti, and Carl Nicholas, a Team Manager with the company who raised around £18,000 for Ty Hafan over the last year. Trunkie and his helpers handed out mini Trunkie soft toys to the children and staff at the hospice.
Ceri said: “It’s great to come down and see all the great work that Ty Hafan does. We have raised money for the hospice in the past, so it’s wonderful to see how it is used to make a huge difference in these children’s lives.”
Tŷ Hafan is dedicated to providing love, care and support for the whole family. They offer a listening ear, a helping hand and more. They offer friendship, a sense of community; a sharing in the care of the very sick child; expert respite, palliative and end of life care, and then support for the whole family into bereavement, for as long as it is wanted.
