Britain is a nation of back seat lovers according to a survey
that reveals 63% of motorists have had sex in their car.
The survey, conducted by online car insurance provider, elephant.co.uk
also discovered that more men than women claim to have had
sex in their car. 70% of the men questioned said they had tried
it compared with 58% of women.
Nicole Joyce, head elephant at elephant.co.uk, said, "I
was really surprised so many people have had sex in a car.
Don't they have somewhere more comfortable they can go? I'm
not so surprised that 12% more men than women reckon they have
tried it. Men aren't particularly known for being modest about
their sexual exploits."
elephant.co.uk's survey reveals just how common backseat canoodling
is. 37% of those surveyed said they had done it more than 5
times, and 17% more than 20 times.
Perhaps not surprisingly, 17-21 year olds are the most likely
to indulge in sex on the backseat. 45% of them have done it
in the last month. But it's not just the young who like to
do it in the car. 18% of the over 50s said they had done it
in the past 4 weeks.
Nicole Joyce, continued, "Although our survey is only
meant to be a bit of fun, it does suggest that whatever your
age, sex in the car has become something of a national pastime.
Maybe the people we asked find sex on wheels more exciting
than sex in the bedroom."
