If you want to impress a member of the opposite sex, you'd
better consider what car to drive because a new survey reveals
that two-thirds of us are more sexually interested in someone
because of their car.
Online insurer elephant.co.uk surveyed people to find
out what they find sexy in a car. It discovered that 67% of
women and 66% of men find someone more attractive if they drive
a sexy car. The survey also reveals exactly what men and women
think is the sexiest type of car.
Black was the sexiest colour for both sexes, but especially
for women, 49% of them said black was the sexiest colour for
a car. Second in the survey came red, followed by silver.
Head elephant at elephant.co.uk, Tanzie Oliver, said: "It
may sound shallow to find someone more sexually attractive
because of their car, but surely its just another accessory
like clothes. Advertising companies use sex to sell cars, so
it's only logical that people find certain things sexy in a
car; we wanted to find out exactly what."
According to elephant.co.uk's survey brand new cars
are sexier than old classics and size does matter; 54% of women
and 81% of men think a car with a big engine is sexy.
When it comes to the nationality of the car it's the Brits
that come top, 38% said British cars are sexiest, second are
Italian cars with 25% and third are German cars with 18%. But
when elephant.co.uk asked which manufacturer makes the
sexiest cars, it was the Ferrari that came top, perhaps not
surprisingly they were named most frequently.
